previous (nigar inRi ninRa en)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction (given by <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\"><strong>maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In previous two pAsurams <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> talked about his love towards emperumAnAr due to his thinking about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s great help, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> who had won enemies\/hurdles in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a>\u2019s mind, and about inability of that love to be unstable.\u00a0 In this pAsuram, thinking about the abundance of goodness in this world after the incarnation of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is joyful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction (given by <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/04\/08\/pillai-lokam-jiyar\/\"><strong>piLLailOkam jIyar<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In previous two pAsurams <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> talked about his surging love towards <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> as he thought about his great help in removing the hurdles to reaching liberation, and how <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> entered and stayed in his mind; <\/em>\u00a0river that is honey<br \/>\n<em>pU \u2013 <\/em>(from the) beautiful<br \/>\n<em>kamalam \u2013 <\/em>lotus flowers<br \/>\n<em>pAy \u2013<\/em> flowing as water for<br \/>\n<em>vayal \u2013 <\/em>the fields; having such fields<br \/>\nand with divine gardens, divine compound walls, divine gOpurams, and divine homes, due to such beautiful environment,<br \/>\n<em>then<\/em> \u2013 being great to see,<br \/>\n<em>arangan \u2013 <\/em>in such kOyil (SrIrangam) where periya perumAL is in resting pose, His,<br \/>\n<em>kazhal \u2013 <\/em>divine feet<br \/>\n<em>iraAmAnusan \u2013 <\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a><br \/>\n<em>chenni vaiththu \u2013<\/em> keeps in his head<br \/>\n<em>thAn adhil mannum \u2013 <\/em>and is together with those divine feet every day,<br \/>\n<em>udhiththu <\/em>\u00a0&#8211; after (such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>) divined his incarnation<br \/>\n<em>ith thalaththu<\/em> \u2013 in this place,<br \/>\n<em>aRa neRi \u00ad\u2013 <\/em>path of dharma<br \/>\n<em>semmai \u2013 <\/em>being proper due to following vEdham,<br \/>\n<em>Anadhu \u2013 <\/em>which was destroyed earlier and now got revived; (which was not followed earlier and now got followed well);<br \/>\n<em>aRu samayam \u2013 <\/em>other philosophies, six in number,<br \/>\n<em>poymmai \u2013 <\/em>that are contradicting to vEdhas and so were unfitly,<br \/>\n<em>ponRip pOnadhu \u2013<\/em> were ended;<br \/>\n<em>vem kali \u2013 <\/em>the harsh kali yugam where dharma based on vEdhas would go down (due to reduced following), and other philosophies would come up,<br \/>\n<em>iRandhadhu \u2013 <\/em>such kali crushed, as said in \u2018<em>kaliyum kedum<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> \u2013 5.2.1]\u2019<\/p>\n<p>After he incarnated what a great abundance of good has happened \u2013 is the thought here.<\/p>\n<p>When recited as \u2018<em>po<\/em><em>n<\/em><em>mai aRu samayam\u2019 \u00ad\u2013<\/em> those other six philosophies are <em>troublesome<\/em> due to not following according to vEdhas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAk<em>yAnam<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pUngamalath thEn adhi pAy vayal \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>surrounded by fields in which honey from beautiful lotus flowers flow into like water for irrigation,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/periyaperumAL-udayavar.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7319\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/periyaperumAL-udayavar.png\" alt=\"periyaperumAL-udayavar\" width=\"790\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/periyaperumAL-udayavar.png 790w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/periyaperumAL-udayavar-300x144.png 300w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/periyaperumAL-udayavar-768x368.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 790px) 100vw, 790px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>then arangan \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>kOyil (SrIrangam) which is beautiful to see due to the environment of divine walls, gOpurams, gardens; periya perumAL having such kOyil (SrIrangam) as His place; His \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>kazhal chenni vaiththu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>divine feet which <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> kept in his head;\u00a0\u00a0 or, like when a kings is to be seated in throne, a crown is kept in his head to show the world that he is the king, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is keeping the crown that is arangan\u2019s divine feet as said in \u2018<em>un adik keezh amarndhu pugundhEnE<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> \u2013 6.10.10]<em>\u2019<\/em>; this indicates to everyone that he got the wealth of owning both the worlds.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>thAn adhil mannum<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>like how He wished to keep his divine feet in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine head (that is why He is lying down and showing his divine feet), <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> also in the same way with love keeps His divine feet in his head without any separation.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>irAmAnusan <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 (such) <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ith thalaththu udhiththE \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>as he incarnated in this big world where the six philosophies were spread and kali was ruling such that there was confusion to the dharmas of vEdhAnthams.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Anadhu semmai aRa neRi <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 the true dharma became well. The path of good dharma specified by vEdhas which was down earlier became well. As said in \u2018<em>yadhipurandhara: ukthaya: chiranthana sarasvathi chikura bhandha sairandhrikA: avarOpithavAn aSruthE: apArthAn\u2019<\/em> (~ <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> got from sarasvathi baNdAram and created SrI bhAshyam and won over the other philosophies),<\/p>\n<p>vEdhas that were kept by the lowly ones were straightened up and the dharmas said by the vEdhas became good and well established <em>(prathishtApanam)<\/em>; Isn\u2019t he the <em>vEdha mArgga prathishtApanAchAryar\u2019?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>poymmai aRu samayam pOnadhu ponRi <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Since they were against the words of vEdhas, those six false philosophies were done with.<\/p>\n<p>When recited as <strong><em>\u2018po<u>N<\/u>mai aRu samayam\u2019,<\/em><\/strong> as said in <em>\u2018thAmasAnAm mOhanArtham mOha SAsthraNi kAraya\u2019<\/em> (~ (bhudhdha SAsthram) for <em>thAmsa<\/em> people for pushing them into this material world) , those who were untruly to the words of vEdhas and who would bewilder and confuse and bring down, such false philosophies;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>iRandhadhu venkali<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 as said earlier, since it creates darkness (ignorance) such highly cruel kali was decimated; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">AzhvAr<\/a> too said \u2018<em>kaliyum kedum kaNdu koNmin<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> \u2013 5.2.1]\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>As said in \u2018<em>ASinOthihi SAsthrArthAn AchArAn sthApayathyabhi | svayamAcharathEyasthu sa AchArya udhAhrudha:\u2019 <\/em>(Should learn SAsthram well; should get it established in the world and make them follow it, and also follow it himself), are attributes of an AchAryan; these identities of an AchAryan are well present in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is said too in <em>\u2018puNyAmbhOja vikAsAya pApadhvAntha kshayAyacha | SrImAn Avira bhUthbhUmau rAmAnuja dhivAkara:\u2019<\/em> (for the lotus flower that is our knowledge to grow, and for the darkness that is our ignorance to be removed, the sun that is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> rose here).<\/p>\n<p><strong>From AzhwAr thirunagari SrI U.Ve. <em>vidhwAn thirumalai nallAn chakravarththi rAmakrishNa iyengAr\u2019s \u2018amudha virundhu\u2019:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Anadhu <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 (became) Implies that it is not hard for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> to get vEdhas to be followed well;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>iRandhadhu venkali \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Since it allowed place for other lowly philosophies and for them to destroy the proper dharma, it is called \u2018<em>ven\u2019 kali<\/em> (cruel).
