in this pAsuram \u2013 he was also one in such group of people, and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> took him up without any effort on <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a>\u2019s part, and made him have faith in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine feet as the means and goal; &#8211; without seeing that difference between us,<br \/>\n<em>unai thandha semmai \u2013 <\/em>the way in which your highness gave yourself and graced (us),<br \/>\n<em>meymmai kURidil \u2013 <\/em>if truth is to be said,<br \/>\n<em>sollAl kURum param anRu<\/em> \u2013 to explain that using words is not being possible;<\/p>\n<p>Can only experience it and get immersed in it \u2013 is the point.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAk<em>yAnam<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pERu onRu maRRillai nin charaN anRi <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Since it is said in \u2018<em>AnandhO brahma\u2019<\/em> [brahmam is Anandham (happiness) (is the one to reach as the goal)]<em>, <\/em>and, \u2018<em>rasOvaisa:\u2019<\/em> (that brahmam is the one to be enjoyed)<em>, <\/em>etc., that, only <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">sarvESvaran<\/a> is the goal, and and as said in \u2018<em>AchArya dhEvO bhava:\u2019 <\/em>(Acharyan is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>)<em>, \u2018gururEva param brahma\u2019<\/em> (your AchAryan is the brahmam), and sabari said \u2018<em>pAdha mUlam gamishyAmi<\/em> \u00a0yAnaham paryachArisham\u2019 (I am going to reach the AchAryan to whom I performed services), that, only <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">sarvESvaran<\/a> (who is none other than AchAryan) is to be surrendered to (goal);<\/p>\n<p>based on what is said in \u2018<em>bhAthi na anyathra\u2019, <\/em>the quality of being an AchAryan is present fully in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> (only), <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> ascertains that only <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine feet is the goal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pERu onRu maRRillai nin charaN anRi<\/em> \u2013<\/strong> As said in \u2018<em>na gurOr aparasthrAthA\u2019<\/em> (there is no one other than guru who can protect us),\u00a0 for us who are in the state that it is only the divine feet of you who is our established lord, is the goal to be reached, there is no other benefit than those divine feet;<\/p>\n<p>They who consider the first state as their goal, are those who do not know the difference of greatness between the first state explained in \u2018<em>brahmavEdha brahma iva bhavathi\u2019<\/em> (learns about brahamam, and he becomes like brahmam)<em>,\u2019sa EnAn brahma dhamayathi\u2019<\/em> (AthmA goes and reach brahmam)<em>, and \u00a0\u2018rasamhyEvAyam labhdhvAnandhee bhavathi\u2019<\/em> (AthmA enjoys \u00a0brahma and attains Anandham)<em>, <\/em>etc., and, \u00a0the final state explained in \u2018<em>gururEva param brahmam\u2019<\/em> (guru is the brahmam)<em>, <\/em>and, <em>\u2018upAyOpEya bhAvEna \u00a0thamEva charaNam vrajEth\u2019<\/em> (~ surrender to AchAryan\u2019s divine feet as the means and goal), etc..<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/alavandhar\/\">ALavandhAr<\/a>\u2019s words too are \u2018<em>athra parathra chApi nithyam yadheeya charaNau charaNam madheeyam\u2019 <\/em>(~ here and there, AchAryans\u2019 divine feet is the means and goal)<em>.<\/em> Based on the inclusion both the things (here, there) \u00a0for this person, it is clear that AchAryan\u2019s divine feet is the only destiny.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ap pERu aLiththaRku aRu onRum illai maRRu achcharaN anRi &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0As established in \u2018<em>upAyOpEya bhAvEna thamEva charaNam vrajEth\u2019 <\/em>(~ surrender to AchAryan\u2019s divine feet as the means and goal), and, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\">AzhvAn<\/a> said \u2018<em>rAmAnujasya charaNau SaraNam prapadhyE\u2019<\/em> (it is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine feet that is the means and goal)<em>, <\/em>\u00a0to get that goal, there is no other means than those divine feet (of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Also, as said in \u2018<em>nagurOraparasthrAthA<\/em>\u2019, and \u2018<em>gurOranyam na bhAvayEth\u2019, <\/em>there is no other means;<\/p>\n<p>For us who have gotten the opportunity of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine feet, the one said in \u2018<em>emmA veedu<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/06\/thiruvaimozhi-2-9-1-emma-vittu\/\">thiruvAimozhi \u2013 2.9.1<\/a>]\u2019 (most distinguished mOksham (reaching SrIvaikuNtam)), how much ever something may be distinguished\/special, even paramapadham is not a destiny.<\/p>\n<p>What is said in \u2018<em>bhajana sukam Ekasya vipulam\u2019<\/em>, such bhakthi yOgam is not a means; what is to be doubted is as said in \u2018<em>siddhir bhavathi vA nEthi samSayOchyutha sEvinAm\u2019<\/em> (those who have surrendered to achyuthan\u2019s divine feet would be having doubt whether they would get mOksham (achyuthan -&gt; one who does not let us down!)<em>, <\/em>surrendering to Him also is not a means;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/11\/28\/arulala-perumal-emperumanar\/http:\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">aruLALap perumAL emperumAnAr<\/a> too divined this in \u2018<em>vEdham oru nAngin utpodhindha meyp poruLum, kOdhil manu mudhal nUl kURuvadhum, <\/em>\u00a0<em>theedhil, charaNAgathy thandha than iRaivan thALE, araN Agum ennumadhu <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/02\/gyana-saram-31-vedham-oru-nangin\/\">gyAna sAram &#8211; 31<\/a>]\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In \u2018<em>kAlathrayEpi<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi\/\">yathirAja vimSathi<\/a> 18]\u2019, etc., jeeyar also divined this thought.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>enRu ipporuLaith thERumavarkkum enakkum<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>This meaning that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine feet is the means and destiny, is being understood with faith, without any doubt or change of mind, by those who have the true inner knowledge, as said in \u2018<em>na samSayasthu \u00a0thath bhaktha paricharyArathAthmanAm\u2019 <\/em>(there is no doubt about reaching goal for those who have surrendered to your devotees)<em>;<\/em>\u00a0 that is, for those like <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\">AzhvAn<\/a> of unlimited greatness who are said in \u2018<em>vAchA yatheendhra<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi-3\/\">yathirAja vimSathi 3<\/a>]\u2019;<\/p>\n<p><em>thERum -&gt; <\/em>having the faith;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kooresa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3708\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kooresa.jpg\" alt=\"kooresa\" width=\"425\" height=\"570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kooresa.jpg 735w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kooresa-224x300.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>enakkum<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>vruthyA paSu:<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi-6\/\">yathirAja vimSathi 7<\/a>]\u2019 ((my) activities are like a cow (animal)),\u00a0 for me too who is a sinner, and who does not have fully faith in this,<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>irAmAnusa\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>&#8211; Oh <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>unaith thandha semmai<\/em> -&gt; <em>u<u>nn<\/u>aith thandha semmai; <\/em><\/strong>Without seeing the difference in greatness between those knowledgable ones and me the ignorant one, when giving something instead of giving some thing possessed by you (unlike krishNan, who did that to dhuryOdhana for kurukshEthra), your highness have given to us yourself itself;<\/p>\n<p>Like said in \u2018<em>Om ithyAthmAnam yunjeetha<\/em>\u2019 (saying Om, submit your <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>), and, \u2018<em>svAthmanancha nivEdhayEth<\/em>\u2019 (~offer your AthmA to Him), while I am supposed to have given myself to you, this giving of yourself to us is upside down <em>(adharOththara).<\/em>\u00a0 It became (upside down) as said in \u2018<em>lOkanAtha:purA bhUthvA sugreevam nAthamichchathi <\/em>[SrI rAmAyaNam \u2013 kishkinthA kANdam] (rAman the lord for the world; sugreevan is the lord)<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Like how perumAL gave Himself in the matter of thiruvadi (hanuman) as said in \u2018<em>Esha sarvasva bhUthOmE parishvangO hanUmatha:\u2019 <\/em>(rAman hugged hanuman (upon him saying that he has seen seethA pirAtti), for us also <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> too is doing that<em>, <\/em>you see!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is talking about the auspicious quality of<em> Arjavam <\/em>(sincerety\/honesty) due to which <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is able to do this.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>meymmai kURidilE<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 To be true, if I start to talk about those qualities as is,<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>sollAl kURum param anRu <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; It would be hard to say it as is, using the sound of words; it is not possible to describe using words; one could only experience and immerse in it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>From AzhwAr thirunagari SrI U.Ve. <em>vidhwAn thirumalai nallAn chakravarththi rAmakrishNa iyengAr\u2019s \u2018amudha virundhu\u2019:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>unaith thandha semmai sollAl kURum param anRu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Unlike <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who give Himself after one does Athma samarpaNam, it is wonderful that you are giving yourself for us, for everyone whether they know your greatness or not;\u00a0 perumAL gave Himself to thiruvadi (hanuman) who helped Him; but you are giving your self even for me who has not done any help!<\/p>\n<p>Whereas <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> was able to say, &#8220;<em>ARu enakku nin pAdhamE charaNAgath thandhozhindhAy unakkOr kaimmARu nAn onRilEn, enadhu Aviyum unadhE <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> \u2013 5.7.10]&#8221;, where he talks about the help of dheyvanAyakan <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> giving his divine feet, and he is perplexed to think of anything to do in return;
