Due to the love that came in him because of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> accepting him, he is looking at the worldly people and addressing them: say the divine name of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> and you will get all the good.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction (given by <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/04\/08\/pillai-lokam-jiyar\/\"><strong>piLLailOkam jIyar<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the previous pAsuram, without looking at their presence or absence of qualification, he\u00a0 advised them about the most distinguished means, but they did not involve in it but were having doubt of what the true goal is; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">rAmAnujar<\/a> has fully researched and understood the <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a> that is full of good words of advice, which is matchless, distinguished, and includes iyal (prose), isai (poetry\/songs), nAtakam (combination of iyal, isai; (but)<br \/>\n<em>therindhavan \u2013 <\/em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>) who has researched every bit about,<br \/>\n<em>sol Ar<\/em> \u2013 (the prabandhams that are) brimming with wise words<br \/>\n<em>oru \u00ad<\/em>\u2013 the matchless ones<br \/>\n<em>mUnRu thamizhum<\/em> \u2013 in thamizh that is of three categories of <em>iyal (prose), isai (<\/em>poetry\/songs), <em>nAtakam<\/em> (conversational);<br \/>\n<em>surudhikaL nAngum <\/em>\u2013 and abut four vEdhas that are <em>rig<\/em>, etc.<br \/>\n<em>ellai illA \u2013 <\/em>and about limitless<br \/>\n<em>aRa neRi yAvum \u2013 <\/em>ones in the path of dharma,<br \/>\n<em>seer <\/em>&#8211;\u00a0 (he having) auspicious qualities<br \/>\n<em>eNNarum<\/em>\u2013 which are impossible to completely count;<br \/>\n<em>nallAr \u2013 <\/em>all noble ones<br \/>\n<em>paravum \u2013 <\/em>praise him due to their overflowing love,<br \/>\n<em>irAmAnusan thiru nAmam \u2013 <\/em>being such divine name. <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>,<br \/>\n<em>kallAr \u2013 (<\/em>the worldly people) are not learning that name and follow<br \/>\n<em>nambi \u2013 <\/em>by having faith in the words I said.<br \/>\nOh! what is this cruelty of their state, is his thought.<br \/>\n<em>\u2018eNNarum seer<\/em>\u2019 can also be taken as adjective for the noble ones.<br \/>\n<em>\u2018nambi\u2019<\/em> \u2013 also taken as \u2018interested\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAk<em>yAnam<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>agalidaththOr<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 This great earth that is called <em>ananthA<\/em> (huge which cannot be comprehended), and <em>vipulA\u2013 <\/em>the sentient who are living in this earth;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>edhu pERu enRu kAmippar<\/em><\/strong><strong> \u2013<\/strong> I could not tolerate their loss and so I went past the words of SAsthram that said \u2018<em>manthram yathnEna gopayEth\u2019 <\/em>(protect\/nurture the manthram with great efforts (in specific posture\/cleanliness, and so on)), and advised the the easiest and which can be recited easily as said in \u2018<em>gurOr nAma sadhA japEth\u2019 <\/em>(recite guru&#8217;s divine name at all times (easier to do than nurturing manthrams)) that goes with the true nature of AthmA of enjoying the taste of being subservient up to the devotees, that is the four-syllable divine name; but they, instead of following that, losing their sense, they look here are there for some thing to surrender to, and with that interest they spend their time in waste;\u00a0 Oh! the cruelty of their <em>prArabhdha karmA<\/em> (effects of sins that have started to influence in this birth) has made them be like this \u2013 saying so, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is sad for them<\/p>\n<p>But those who teach dull minds would be kind and teach them again so that they would comprehend it; don\u2019t you also have to do that?<\/p>\n<p>As said in \u2018<em>yachcha kimchith jagathsarvam dhruSyathE SrUyathEbivA | antharbahiScha thathsarvam vyApya nArAyaNasthitha:\u2019,\u00a0 <\/em>(~ Whatever small it may be that are heard and seen &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> is present in all of them, is nArAyaNan), and \u2018<em>eN perukkannalaththu oN poruL eeRila, vaN pugazh nAraNan thiN kazhal sErE<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/05\/thiruvaimozhi-1-2-10-en-perukku\/\">thiruvAimozhi &#8211; 1.2.10<\/a>]\u2019, where it advised about the divine name through its greatness, he too is talking about this divine name through explaining its greatness :-<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>sollAr thamizh oru mUnRum<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 As said in \u2018<em>seerth thodai Ayiram<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/05\/thiruvaimozhi-1-2-11-serth-thadam\/\">thiruvAimozhi &#8211; 1.2.11<\/a>]\u2019, and \u2018S<em>atakOpa vAngmayam<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/03\/thiruvaimozhi-thaniyans-invocation\/\">thiruvAimozhi &#8211; thaniyan<\/a>]\u2019 (filled with <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>&#8216;s divine words), it is filled with words that are soft\/pleasing, and which show the meanings of the truth\/existence \u2013 that is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a>; <\/em>\u00a0\u2018<em>oru\u2019 <\/em>(one\/great one\/unique) goes with the word previous \u00a0to it (thamizh)\u00a0 based on \u2018<em>kAkAkshi nyAyam\u2019 <\/em>(literal:\u00a0 sideways look of a crow using its only working eye); \u00a0that is, in this world and in vEdhas there is nothing equal in greatness to it (<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a>);<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>mUnRum\u2019 \u2013 <\/em>the limitless other three thousand prabandhams that can be considered as three supports for <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a>;\u00a0 in this way, all the <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a> divined by the ten <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\">AzhvArs<\/a>; Or, \u2018<em>oru mUnRu\u2019 <\/em>is about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>\u2019s other prabandhams &#8211; thiruviruththam, thiruvAsiriyam, and periya thiruvanthAdhi;<\/p>\n<p>Or, <strong><em>sollAr thamizh oru mUnRu<\/em><\/strong><strong> \u2013<\/strong> having great words, unlimited, three types of thamizh based on <em>iyal<\/em> (prose), <em>isai <\/em>(poetry\/song), and nAtakam (conversational)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>surudhigaL nAngum<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 unlike those that are not referenced, which are temporary, and which depend on some other source, the vEdhas are being as said in &#8216;<em>&#8216;vAchAvirUpa nithyayA&#8217;,\u00a0<\/em> that is they have been and will be there forever, not created by anyone, being the ultimate reference, and which cannot be looked through in books but instead as said in \u2018<em>svAdhyaya: adhyE thavya:\u2019<\/em><em>, <\/em>(should recite vEdhas regularly) it is being taught by AchAryas, which are repeated and recited and in this way one is able to learn it, and having the names as said in \u2018<em>richa: yajU(g)mshi sAmAni thathaiva adharvaNAnicha\u2019, <\/em>and so being of four categories, that are vEdhas; and,<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ellai illA aRa neRi<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 being the ones that give meanings to such vEdhas, being countless,\u00a0 endless ways of dharma;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>yAvum therindhavan<\/em><\/strong><strong> \u2013<\/strong> He being \u2018<em>vEdha mArga prathishtApana AchArya ubhaya vEdhAnthAcharyar\u2019<\/em> (went in the path shown by vEdhas, as AchAryan he established it, and is expert in both the vEdhAnthams (samskrutham, and <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a>)), and so he has analyzed all of this word by word;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>eNNarum seer<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Since <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is an incarnation of bhagavAn (pArthasArathy), as said for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> in \u2018<em>sankyAthum naivasakyanthE guNA:\u2019<\/em> he is also being of infinite number of auspicious qualities, and as said in \u2018<em>nathasya eeSEkaSchana, thasya nAma mahadhyaSa:\u2019<\/em>, (there is no controller of Him, no one greater than Him, his greatness cannot be reduced) &#8211; even if <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>&#8216;s greatness could somehow be limited, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s greatness cannot be limited, you see!<\/p>\n<p>Or,<strong> \u2018<\/strong><strong><em>eNNarum seer<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is \u2013 adjective for the word \u2018<em>nallOr\u2019<\/em><em>. <\/em>Then, as said in yathirAja vimSathi \u2018<em>vAchAmagOchara mahAguNa dhEsikAgrya kUrAdhinAtha<\/em>\u2019, that is, it is about those whose auspicious qualities cannot be counted, those like <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\">kUraththAzhvAn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/04\/14\/thirukkurugaippiran-pillan-english\/\">piLLAn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/07\/embar\/\">embAr<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\">more<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/emperumanar_with_sishyas.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1792\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/emperumanar_with_sishyas-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"emperumanar_with_sishyas\" width=\"583\" height=\"437\" \/><\/a><em>nallAr paravum irAmAnusan<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>nallAr paravum \u2013<\/em><\/strong> As noble ones said, as in \u2018<em>jayathi sakala vidhyA vAhinee janma<\/em> saila\u2019,(<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> wins everyone, gives us all the education the world) etc., and \u2018<em>ghAthA thAthA ghAthA nAm\u2019, <\/em>(how much ever we talk about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, we can only keep talking about it (never ending)), etc., and \u00a0\u2018<em>vAzhi ethirAsan\u00b4 <\/em>(lo<em>ng live <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>)<\/em>, etc., those noble ones also praise him as the outlet of their love for him &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>irAmAnusan thirunAmam<\/em><\/strong><strong> &#8211;<\/strong> such divine name of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>; \u00a0this divine name called \u2018rAmAnusan\u2019 \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>nambik kallAr &#8211; <\/em><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the worldly ones went away without understanding his greatness, or having faith, and reciting the manthram that is his divine name of four syllables; even though <em>mahArAjar <\/em>(sugreevan) is a monkey, after proving to him (His strength and ability by arrows through the trees, etc), he gained faith in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>; but these who are born as humans who can distinguish between truth and non-truth, even after I showed them the proof about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> taking me up, they went away without having faith; oh what cruel is their misfortune! , saying so, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is sad for them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From AzhwAr thirunagari SrI U.Ve. <em>vidhwAn thirumalai nallAn chakravarththi rAmakrishNa iyengAr\u2019s \u2018amudha virundhu\u2019:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>sollAr thamizh oru mUnRum<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>Since it is mother tongue, and since it is the kind thamizh from AzhvArs, the three categories of thamizh is being mentioned before the four categories of samskrithm. thirumangai AzhAr too said \u2018<em>senthiRaththa thamizhOsai vada sol Agi<\/em> [thirunedunthANdakam &#8211; 4]\u2019, mentioning thamizh first.<\/p>\n<p><em>isai thamizh \u2013 <\/em>thiruvAmozhi that is said as \u2018<em>paNNAr pAdal <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> &#8211;
