Simple translation

emperumAn, who is like the best gem and my nectar which will never satiate, was having thiruvAzhi with flowing strength, in his big, divine hand to have the great strength of victorious narakAsura destroyed. When the clan of dhEvathAs prayed, he churned the tumultuous ocean with manthara mountain and gave nectar to dhEvathAs such as indhra et al. He is residing desirously in arimEya viNNagaram in thirunAngUr. Oh obedient heart! Surrender unto emperumAn there, where brAhmaNas who have unlimited wealth [of knowledge] which is overflowing everyday, who have mastered vEdham which has shining beauty,  have learnt saptha svaras and other ancillary subjects, are with abundance of great qualities and are capable of performing creation just as brahmA is capable of doing, are residing.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

venRi … – emperumAn has divine hand which has divine chakra having flowing strength, which destroyed the strength of narakAsura who roamed around, destroying the abode of indhra et al and who remained victorious wherever he went. Not only he got back the abodes of the clan of dhEvathAs by destroying narakAsura, when they asked “Please churn the ocean and get us the nectar” he churned the tumultuous ocean by placing the manthara mountain for them and gave that to them.

kuru maNi … – When those dhEvathAs say “We don’t want you; we only need the salt water”, without caring for his invaluable divine form, causing pain to his shoulders, he churned the ocean, he bestowed the nectar to them.

en Ar amudham – Unlike their nectar, this (emperumAn) is AzhwAr’s nectar. He lives in that [nectar] in celebration.

enRum … – Having unlimited wealth [of knowledge] which grows everyday, and shining due to that, those who have mastered vEdham, and having learnt saptha svaras and other ancillary subjects as said in “There is no one who has learnt more than them”, and having abundance of noble qualities due to their familiarity in these subjects, they are capable of performing creation. thirunAngUr where such brAhmaNas are residing.

Simple translation

Oh obedient heart! Surrender unto emperumAn in arimEya viNNagaram in thirunAngUr, the dhivyadhESam where beauty is shining, and where he is eternally residing, along with periya pirAttiyAr and SrIbhUmip pirAtti on his either side, always granting his mercy to his devotees, to let the residents of the seven worlds to be rid of their cruel sins and to let the nithyasUris remain rooted in this samsAram and praise him; it is having places where very famous brAhmaNas are residing; everywhere there is abundance of thAzhai, sengazhunIr and lotus flowers and they are shining; the garden there has grown tall to fill the whole sky.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

thirumadandhai maNmadandhai irupAlum thigazha – pirAtti [SrI mahAlakshmi] who makes emperumAn forgive our mistakes as said in SrI rAmAyaNam yudhdha kANdam 116-45 “nakaSchin nAparAdhyathi” (there is none who has not committed a wrongful deed) and SrIbhUmip pirAtti who considers that seeing the mistake and then forgiving it is too much and would say “Why first see the mistake, then forgive? [Just don’t see the mistakes]”, are shining on either side of emperumAn. To forgive the faults after seeing them, there is pirAtti, and there is SrIbhUmip pirAtti who remains thinking “What is the point in seeing the mistake?” for those who cannot be abandoned for their mistakes.

thI vinaigaL pOy agala – Due to the eternal presence of these pirAttis, for sarvESvaran, there is no scope to say to his devotees as in SrI bhagavath gIthA 16-19 “samsAreshu narAdhamAnkshipAmi” (I push those who hate me, who are cruel, who are the worst among people  and sinners, into the demonic species repeatedly). Due to the eternal presence of the one who makes him forgive and the one who is his teacher for tolerance, he will always grant his mercy to his devotees and due to that, the cruel mistakes will run away thinking “These [devotees] are not our abodes”; seeing that, all the people in these seven worlds will surrender unto him thinking “There is no other protector in this world like him” and is surrendered to by nithyasUris who are untouched by samsAram, rooted in this samsAra where even dhEvathAs will not place their feet; such emperumAn’s abode.

perum pugazh … – thirunAngUr which is having the places where brAhamaNas who are very famous due to being always engaged in emperumAn only; also having kaidhai (thAzhai) etc which have abundance of flowers; alternatively – kaidhai etc flowers are present in the places where the brAhmaNas are present, for their purpose; in each pond abundant flowers of thAzhai, sengazhunIr and lotus are fully spread; as there is no space left here, the garden grows upwards and fills the whole sky and remains shining with beauty; arumidam (place without form) indicates AkASam due to its subtle nature.
